Similiar to it’s close relative the Philodendron congo, Philodendron birkin prefers bright light and ample warmth. It’s dark green and glossy heart shaped leaves will start off green and eventually variegate as leaves settle. Brighter light may increase colour contrast and allow the plant to harness it’s full variegation.

Care

LIGHT
Prefers bright light.

WATER
Keep moist over the warmer months. Reduce watering in the cooler months and allow the plant to dry longer between watering. Can adapt to drier conditions.

NUTRIENTS
Feed with slow-release fertiliser once every month (refers to packaging for dosage). In the warmer months, feed twice with a liquid fertiliser.
