Baby Sunrose (Aptenia Cordifolia)

A ground hugging, fast growing succulent with thick heart-shaped, glossy lime green leaves. It is a great groundcover and will supress weeds as it grows on top of itself forming a tight surface that does not let sunshine through. Suitable for rockeries, hanging baskets and sprawling down slopes and embankments. Needs little attention apart from occasional trimming to contain spread.

Care

LIGHT
Prefers bright light but can adapt to lower light

WATER
Extremely drought-tolerant. Water sparingly and keep mostly dry. Water once the surface of the soil looks dry.

NUTRIENTS
Feed with slow-release fertiliser once every six months (refers to packaging for dosage).In the warmer months, feed monthly with a liquid fertiliser.

IDEAL TEMPERATURE
Cool to warm. Requires protection from frost.
